I too love the promise of a new day and often enjoy a sunrise (especially as an east coaster) but I seem to definitely catch more sunsets. I guess I work better in the afternoon....
Also, where are these photos from. Riviera Maya?

Craig - Thanks for your comment! These were all taken on the same January morning of 2008 in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. I remember exactly what I was thinking at the time--and the peacefulness of the sunrise that I desperately tried to capture on 'film'.
